Worry

I am worried.
Not for money, not for stability.
But I am worried of my thoughts.
The thoughts of his life, his health, his age.
I am extremely worried.
I can’t help but cry
And feel hopeless
Feel defeated.
Not for my life,
But for him.
It saddens me so that my day becomes cloudy even on a bright sunny day.
It’s no longer a glorious day, but a sorrowful one.
I am worried;
I always worry;
Not for myself, but for those I deeply love.
I weep for them
In silence,
In solitude
In despair.
I feel hopeless,
Defeated even.
I know worrying isn’t good for my heart
For my spirits,
Or my soul.
It crawls in me,
Makes a nest,
Resides like a permanent visitor.
Inviting Fear, Anger, and Sorrow as housemates.
How doomed I am,.
How unfortunate it is to be a worrier, and not a warrior of confidence, joy, and bliss.
And so I sit,
Contemplating my life, my friends, my family…
Awaiting the for the feeling in my chest to cease.
I know this is only temporary.
For in the long run,
I know I am a warrior of kindness, love and care.
